Lead by drummer/percussionist Kyle Poehling the band members watch the film (and each other), they cue off of the plot, movement, and emotions that develop. Rather than trying to replicate the written score or providing exact foley for the film, the performers act by intuition and chemistry, with each player bringing experience and creativity to the mix.

The best way to enjoy this experience is to quite literally, “Think Less, and Hear More”. We invite you to let go of any preconceived notions you may have about the film and experience the performance in the moment with the players and crowd.

From 2016-2020 the group held residency at The Ace Hotel “Three Keys” New Orleans performing monthly with a wide range of movies from summer blockbusters to indie darlings.

Post-pandemic the group moved the monthly residency across town to The Hi-Ho Lounge. Continuing the exploration in creative sound sculpting we have captured most performances which then are shaped into our recorded body of work.

While there is a core group of musicians that perform regularly the contributors represent a deeply experienced group of players including:

The “collective” is an ever growing group of like minded creatives who dare to explore instant composition set to moving pictures.
